He was born on the 2nd of November 1905 in Warsaw, died on the 30th of August 1973. A famous Polish chess activist. National master for chess composition (1955), International Judge in chess composition (1956). He debuted in 1933. He published app. 300 of chess problems. In tourneys he received 21 prizes (7 first ones). Six of his problems were published in the FIDE Albums (6 points). A gold medalist in the Polish championship in chess composition in the section of threemovers (1945–54, 1955–56). In 1960-71, he edited the problems column in the “Szachy” monthly. An author of many chess books.
