He was born on the 18th of November 1908 in Łuck, died on the 5th of August 1996 in Śrem. National master of chess composition (1959). His first problem was published in 1925. An author of approximately 300 chess problems. He gained about 125 distinctions (25 first prizes). Six of his compositions were published in the FIDE Albums (6 pkt.).
Żuk Henryk
He was born on the 25th of May 1916, died on the 8th of October 2001. A national master in chess composition (1987). He made his debut in 1952. He published about 150 chess problems, mainly twomovers, gaining 30 prizes (in that 11 first ones) and 20 honourable mentions. Seven of his compositions were published in the FIDE Albums (7 pkt.).
Two-time medalist of the World Chess Composition Tournament (1984-1988 – silver, 1989-1992 – bronze). An author of the book “Wybrane problemy szachowe”, 1995, with the collection of his problems. One of the themes of twomovers is named after him.
Limbach Saturnin
He was born on the 26th of December 1907, died on the 11th of December 1984. A national master in chess composition (1956), a national grandmaster in chess composition (2013), an International Judge of the FIDE for Chess Compositions (1956). He made his debut in 1924. In total he composed about 3600 chess problems, receiving 456 distinctions (89 first prizes). Twenty of his compositions were published in the FIDE Albums (20 points). An editor and publisher of chess and problem sections in: “Szachy”, “Polski zadaniowiec”, “Dziennik Ludowy”, “Słowo Polskie”, “Gazeta Poranna”, “Przegląd Szachowy”, “Szachista”, “Zadaniowiec”, “Głos Narodu”, “Żołnierz Szachista”, “Trybuna Robotnicza”, “Gazeta Częstochowska”, “Samomat”.
Kozłowski Szaja
He was born in 1910, died in 1943. He lived in Łódź and composed studies. Posthumously he received the title of national grandmaster in chess composition (2013). In total he published several dozen of chess compositions. In the jubilee book of the Lodz Society of Chess Supporters (1938) there was a separate chapter with 12 of his best works. Five of his problems were published in the FIDE Albums (5 points).
Przepiórka Dawid
He was born on the 22nd of December 1880, died in April 1940 in Palmiry. He started his chess career as a problemist. During studies in Munchen he got to know the German problem school and composed many compositions, mainly three- and fourmovers. In 1932 H. Weenink published a book “David Przepiórka a Master of Strategy”, containing 130 of his problems. He was a leading Polish chess player. In 1926 he won the title of Polish champion and represented Poland at two chess olympiads (1930 i 1931). He was the vice-president of the Polish Chess Federation (1926 – 1939), honorary member of the PZSzach and FIDE. In 2013 he was awarded the title of national grandmaster in chess composition. He published 160 chess problems, 21 of them were published in the FIDE Albums (21 pkt.).
Brzozowicz Jarosław
He was born on the 28th of March 1959 in Częstochowa. National master in chess composition (2015). His first problem was published in 1975 in “Gazeta Częstochowska”. He has published more than 210 problems, mainly selfmates, gaining about 100 distinctions, including 28 prizes (6 first prizes). One of his compositions was published in the FIDE Album (1 point). He participated twice in the World Championship in Composing for Individuals (WCCI) in the selfmates section (WCCI 2013-15 – 27th place, WCCI 2016-18 – 29th place).

He was born on the 2nd of September 1950 in Warsaw. National master in chess composition (1984). Six-time Polish Champion in solving. He took part in the World Chess Solving Championships five times. He gained his best result in 1978 (10th place). A bronze medalist of the World Chess Composition Tournament (1989-1992). An author of 50 chess compositions. He gained about 30 distinctions, in that 11 prizes (5 first ones). Six of his compositions, including three studies, were published in the FIDE Albums (8 points).

He was born on the 24th of January 1947 in Bytom. FIDE Master (1983), National master in chess composition (1974).
