He was born in 1869, died in 1930. An engineer by education, he worked as an interpreter. His first problems appeared in 1895. As a problemist, he was primarily inventive. He published about 60 chess problems. He did not participate in problem tourneys. Two of his compositions were published in FIDE Albums (2 points).
