He was born on the 2nd of December 1950. International Grandmaster in chess composition (1992 – first Pole in history), International Judge in chess composition (1983). He started composing in 1968. An author of about 250 chess compositions, more than 200 studies. He gained more than 100 prizes. More than 60 of his problems were published in the FIDE Albums. Two-time medalist of the World Chess Composition Tournament (1984-1988 – silver, 1989-1992 – bronze). Two-time medalist of the of the Polish Solving Championships (gold in 1986; silver in 1987).
