He was born on the 2nd of May 1922, died on the 20th of August 1998 in Gdańsk. A Master of Economics by education, researcher at the Maritime Institute in Gdańsk. A national master for chess composition (1959). He made his debut in 1952. In total he published more than 100 chess problems. In tourneys he gained 6 prizes (2 first ones). Four of his problems were published in the FIDE Albums (4 points). A silver medalist of the Polish championship in chess composition in the section of twomovers (1955–56).
