International Grandmaster in Chess Composition (2004), International Judge in Chess Composition (1988).<\/p>\r\n<p>He started composing chess problems in 1956. He composed more than 1000 chess compositions: twomovers, threemovers, selfmates and helpmates, gaining more than 370 prizes.<\/p>\r\n<p>More than 100 of his problems were published in the FIDE albums. One of the themes of threemovers is named after him.<\/p>\r\n<p>Two-time medalist of the World Chess Composition Tournament (1984-1988 &#8211; silver, 1989-1992 &#8211; bronze).
