He was born on the 10th of December 1913 roku in the village \u0141abno near Grodno. Died on the 16th of October 1999 in Lida (Belarus). A graduate of classical philology at the University of Warsaw (1937). Master of Sport of the USSR in Chess Composition (1957), International Master for chess compositions (1977) and International Judge of Chess Compositions (1959). He made his debut in chess composition in 1933. In total he published about 600 chess problems, gaining 150 prizes (53 first ones). More than 40 of his problems were published in the FIDE Albums (38,5 points). A winner of the fifth USSR Championship in the section of twomovers (1959).
